If a person has a Delta SkyBar for his Jeep Wrangler, non-police/ems, is it legal to mount to a Jeep in Virginia? If yes, what are the rules (links OK)? If not, explain. This light-bar is similar to the police bars, but clear lights for driving, and no flashers or blinkers are attached (doesn’t work like a cruiser light bar). Low profile. Non-round lights, not like what you see on most off-road vehicles. Six 4.5 Xenon driving lights, 330 maximum watts of power.

I would *assume* this bar is like other bars, legally, but in Virginia courts that can get you fried and hung out to dry. The judge doesn’t know the laws, so it is up to the officer and the ‘criminal’ to prove the better case, by hook or crook, lies or whatever.
